BALBOA BEACON NEWS

March 27, 2013 - sadly to say, was our final publication of the weekly newspaper. Our website will still pass on news.

 

Since 1996, the Balboa Beacon brought tales of Newport Beach 106+ years of history. 

Around the same time as my spinal cord injury my dear friend and yours, George Grupe sadly told us that his lady friend Martha Somers passed away. George has moved from his favorite city, Balboa, Newport Beach, Corona del Mar, since the 1920's. He has moved to Truckee, with his daughter and son-in-law!

The Beacon is not the Beacon without George and his stories of Balboa and Newport Beach with us for the past 17 years! BUT, he has promised to send stories....Can't wait George!

 

We would love to hear from you, photos, stories that we could post from time to time on our website!
